Are there any restrictions to apply?
1. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by February 1, 2013.
2. Applicants must be a legal U.S. resident and have a valid U.S. passport if selected for the show.
Should I send in a video submission if I plan to attend an open casting call?
It is not required, but we recommend you do so. There are several reasons why it is an advantage to submit a video even if you plan to meet our casting team in person. It gives our casting team a chance to get familiar with you and it also could act as a second chance if you were not selected for a one-on-one interview at the casting call.
What if I cannot attend a casting call or make a video?
In order to consider you, we need to meet you at one of our casting calls or watch a video submission. If you do not have a video camera, we suggest looking into your local resources (i.e., borrowing one from friends or family, library, film school students, etc).
What should I bring to the open casting call?
Bring your completed contestant application (which can be downloaded on our website) and a non-returnable, recent photo of yourself (the photo is highly recommended, but is not required). It is a good idea to bring water and snacks for your wait in line.
What if my teammate cannot make it to the open casting call?
This is a competition series that involves teams of two (2). In order to accurately get a sense of why you would be great for the show, the casting team needs to meet the two (2) of you together. Please be sure BOTH of you are able to attend and go through the casting process as a team.
What if I signed up with someone else and I change my partner before the casting call?
You can come to the casting call with any potential teammate you'd like to be on the show with.
What should I wear to the open casting call?
Please be presentable and look your best. Wear something that best represents you and that is comfortable, as you will be waiting in line.
What should I expect at the open casting call?
Our casting team will be holding group interviews. You may receive a call that evening or up to 2 days after the open casting call for a “callback,” which is one-on-one on-camera interview with our casting directors. If you traveled from out of town, you may be asked to stay in town or travel back for your callback interview later that week. If you do not get a callback, we encourage you to send in a video submission.
What if the due date for my video is earlier than the video deadline listed on the website?
The deadline on the website is a general deadline. If you have been in contact with a Casting Director, they may have requested an earlier date, which you should adhere to.
If I am selected to participate on the show, what is my time commitment?
If you are selected as a contestant you must be available to commit yourself to the competition and taping of the show for approximately 4 weeks (March 2013 – April 2013). Dates are always subject to change.
Will I be notified if I am selected or not?
Unfortunately, we cannot contact every person who applies and inform them of their status. However, we will update our website, Facebook and Twitter accounts as soon as all the finalists have been selected and notified.
